Watercolor Painting Class

Class Description

Create your very own watercolor masterpiece with the help of artist Doug Brown. This class is ideal for watercolorists of all levels – from beginners to watercolor wonders! Doug begins each class with a demonstration of an essential watercolor technique, and then it’s your turn to create!

After the technique demonstration each student is free to paint whatever subject matter stirs him or her. Bring a picture to recreate, or get inspired by your surroundings. Doug will circulate through the class and give each student individual attention and advice.

Doug attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and worked as a designer and artist for more than 40 years. Over the past 20 years, he has taught watercolor classes for hundreds of students, and served as a jurist around the country. He is also a signature member of the PA En Plein Air Society.

The class lasts for two hours; however, each student is encouraged to work at his or her own pace. There must be four students registered on the day of the class for Doug to hold the class.

Cost for one three class session is $40 plus the cost of supplies.
