How to Make a Wise Purple Owl Mesh Wreath
It's always good to keep a wise old owl around, and we love this purple one made of big mesh loops! This wreath looks great in a classroom, child's room or on any wall that needs a little extra pizazz. With battery powered tealight eyes, this wreath even doubles as a nightlight.
Create mesh loops
Weave a ribbon of blue mesh through the wire wreath form. Create a loop and secure the base of it to the wire wreath form with a pipe cleaner.
Alternate the mesh ribbon colors back and forth using pipe cleaners to hold the mesh together on the wire frame.
Embellish the felt owl
After the pattern of mesh is complete, start creating the centerpiece. Cut out wing, ear, feet, stomach and eye accents from colored paper to glue over top of the felt owl. Glue the tea lights to the eyes.
Hot glue the felt owl to the center of the wreath and add mini owls to the open spaces in the wreath.
