How to Make Bandana Flower Embellishments

Bandana Flower Embellishments are an easy way to make everything from tote bags to headbands more fun! Choose a traditional patterned bandana or pick something a little more creative. Just be careful, once you make one flower, you'll want to put them on everything!
  • 1 Cut ovals

Cut 6, 4" x 2" ovals from bandanas. These will create one flower with 12 petals.

  • 2 Fold & cut

Fold them in half and cut an angle on each side towards the fold. When you open it up, it will look like an 8.

  • 3 Cut & twist wire

Cut a length of thin wire. Gather the center of each oval and twist the thin wire around them,

  • 4 Cluster petals

Cluster the petals together and twist the wires to create a flower.

  • 5 Trim & glue felt

Trim off excess wire and hot glue a small circle of felt to the back center.

  • 6 Add flowers to projects

Add the finished flowers to headbands, totes, hats, shirts and any other projects you can think of.
