How to Make a Tie Dye Bandana Tote
It's more fun to carry your necesities in a tie dye tote! You can even customize this cotton tote with even more fun accents like bandanas, beads, buttons and decals.
Cut the handle off of a cotton tote.
Lay out bandana
Open the bandana and lay face down on a table.
Glue bandana on tote
Place the tote on the center of the bandana and glue along the top and bottom edges of the tote.
Fold and glue bandana
Fold the top section of the bandana over 2 times and tack in place with glue.
Overlap seams & glue
Overlap the seams on the back of the tote and glue in place.
Cut fringe & add beads
Cut the bandana below the tote into 1/4" strips. Slide pony beads onto every 2 strips from the front to back.
Embellish the bag with beads and an iron-on patch.
Braid & attach handle
Cut a bandana into 6, 1" wide strips. Separate into 2 sections. Braid the sections and tie one end together. Glue the other end inside the tote to make the handle.
