**Project made with All Things You™ Wool Blend yarn in: Stone

  • 1 Cut yarn

Cut the yarn into forty-two sections that are each 4 yards long.

  • 2 Hang hooks

Hang the hooks on a wall 34'' apart and about 6'' above your head. Place the dowel rod onto the hooks.

  • 3 Fold, loop and knot yarn

Fold each section in half, take the folded end and loop around the dowel rod, make a half hitch knot. Repeat with the remaining sections.

  • 4 Gather & knot yarn

Starting at the left side, gather three sections of yarn together and tie a square knot 6'' down from the dowel rod. Continue to gather and knot three strands at a time until you reach the end.

  • 5 Gather & knot yarn

Go back to the left side, skip the end strand, gather the next three strands and tie a square knot 3'' down from the previous row. Continue across to gather and knot three strands at a time, until you reach the end.

  • 6 Repeat

Repeat the above step for two more rows at 2'' and 3'' down from the previous row.

  • 7 Create V pattern

For the next row, create a V pattern by working back and forth from each end.The first knotted sections of three strands on the far right and far left will be 2'' down from the previous row. The next knotted sections of three strands in from the left and right will be 3'' down. Continue making knots 1'' down from the neighboring section until you reach the middle and finish the V.

  • 8 Knot yarn

The next tow of knots wil be even across at approximately 9'' down from the far left and right knot ends.

  • 9 Repeat V pattern

For the last row of knots, create a V pattern again.

  • 10 Trim yarn

Trim the yarn evenly across the bottom.
