How to make Whitewashed Silhouette Bunnies

Spring is here and so are the bunnies! Create your own Whitewashed Silhouette Bunnies with a shadowbox,  some paint, and wooden cutout bunnies. The silhouette bunnies make for a great springtime display!

  • 1 Paint the shadowbox

Paint the shadowbox grey and let dry. Sand the edges of the box and set aside.

  • 2 Paint the bunnies

Paint the bunnies tan and let dry.

  • 3 Whitewash the bunnies

Whitewash the bunnies using vertical strokes.

  • 4 Add moss to shadowbox

Place the shadowbox on its side and glue some moss along the inside bottom.

  • 5 Wrap the bunnies together

Wrap the bunnies with the two colors of jute. Tie the lighter blue jute behind the bunnies. String a button onto the blue jute and tie off to one side in the front. Trim the excess jute in the front.

  • 6 Add bunnies to shadowbox

Place the bunnies in the shadowbox, turn the shadowbox around and tie the lighter blue jute through the chicken wire to secure them. Press the bunnies against the chicken wire and hot glue them into place.
