How to Make a Gemmed Mason Jar Luminary

Decorate your space with light when you make this Gemmed Mason Jar Luminary. Pick clear gems to let the light shine through and contrast them with opaque gems in your favorite colors to cast scattered light patterns across a table.
  • 1 Glue gems

Apply gems to jar by applying a line of E6000 and a line of hot glue on the flat side of a gem. Begin applying gems at the base of the jar and work around and up to the rim.

  • 2 Paint & sand lid

Paint the jar's lid using chalk paint. Let dry completely, then sand lid to give it a rustic look.

  • 3 Light jar

Light the jar by placing a strand of Moon Lites inside, or use a Glue Dot to secure a submersible light to the inside of the jar.
