How to Make a Burlap Christmas Wreath

Dress up a basic pine wreath with burlap, ribbon, berries and birds to make a rustic Burlap Christmas Wreath to hang up in your home! You can even personalize your wreath with patterned burlap, a unique bow or different colored berries - it's all up to you.
  • 1 Fluff wreath

Fluff open the wreath, creating an outer row of pine and an inner row of pine.

  • 2 Create a burlap loop

Using approximately 6" of burlap ribbon, pull up a loop from the back to the front, working in the area between the inner and outer pine.

  • 3 Continue creating burlap loops

Continue pulling loops around the wreath using this same technique. Do not cut the burlap to make the loops.

  • 4 Glue pep berries

Pull the pep berry garland apart and glue individual lenths into the pine around the wreath.

  • 5 Pull ribbon strands through

Cut strips of ribbon approximately 12" long and 1 1/4" wide. Pull those strips from the back to the front between the burlap loops.

  • 6 Tie & attach bow

Purchase or tie a bow made from approximately 3 yds. of ribbon. Attach it to the wreath using a chenille stem.

  • 7 Glue cardinals

Hot glue the cardinals in place.
