How to Make a Glow-in-the-Dark Beaded Flower Ornament

Add a glowing pop of color to your traditional Christmas decor when you make Glow-in-the-Dark Beaded Flower Ornaments! Make enough ornaments to decorate an entire tree, or just make a few for your friends and family. Remember, these ornaments look just as great as an accent on a gift as they do on the tree.

  • 1 Cut plastic canvas strips

Cut 6 plastic canvas strips 3 holes wide by 24 holes long.

  • 2 Stitch ends together

Stitch the ends together on each strip to create a teardrop shape.

  • 3 Thread teardrops

Using a piece of floss thread approximately 24" long, thread a teardrop at approximately the 7th hole from the point with 3 beads in the center of the teardops.

  • 4 Repeat threading

Repeat threading until all 6 teardrops are on.

  • 5 Tie floss

Tie the ends of floss together, forming the teardrops into a ring.

  • 6 Tie & trim loop

Tie a hanging loop and trim off excess floss.
