How to Make a Mesh Candle Centerpiece

This Mesh Candle Centerpiece will cast a soft glow across your table that will sparkle off of the glitter in its fluffy mesh base. Construct this candle with just a Bowdabra® bow maker, a battery operated candle and your favorite style of mesh.
  • 1 Place duct tape

Fold over a 7" piece of duct tape and place it on the center of the glass candle base.

  • 2 Glue foam circle

Glue the foam circle to the duct tape on the base.

  • 3 Make bows

Using the bow maker, create bows with a combination of mesh ribbon and #9 ribbon. The mesh bows should have 2 loops on each side, and the ribbon bows should have 1 loop on each side.

  • 4 Attach bows

Create approximately 8 bows, and then begin attaching them to the foam base.

  • 5 Alternate bows

Alternate bows on top and bottom and from left to right with 2 bows on each side. Attach the bows with a U pin and then glue in place.

  • 6 Place candle

Place the battery operated candle on top of the foam. It does not need to be glued down, it will simply sit on the foam.
