How to Make a Retro Gold Leaf Poinsettia Ornament
Get crafty this holiday season by making some new ornaments for your Christmas tree! Making this Retro Gold Leaf Poinsettia Ornament project will have you feeling a little nostalgic, plus it will look great on your tree. Add some glitter glue and it will be the perfect mix of retro and sparkly!
Separate the ornament halves.
Apply gold leaf adhesive
Apply the gold leaf adhesive top the inside of one of the halves and let dry.
Add gold leaf
Add the gold leaf to the inside of the ornament and press firmly into place.
Choose & cut flower or scene
Select a flower or scene from the Christmas card or bad that fits inside the ornament, cut it out.
Stabilize flower & add glitter
Glue a small piece of cardboard or foam core to the back of the cut out to help stabilize it. Add glitter glue to the cut out and let dry.
Stack adhesive dots
Stack adhesive dots onto the back of the cut-out and place inside the ornament.
Secure ornment & attach cord
Glue along the edge of the paper and ornament to secure. Snap the two halves of the ornament together and attach cord for hanging.
