How to Make Spring Spoon Friends
Stir up a whole lot of fun with these cute Spring Spoon Friends! Whether they put on a little show for you or simply let the spoons sit pretty in a decorative Easter basket, your kids will have so much fun making this craft with you!
Paint spoons & basket
Paint the 2 12" spoons white and allow to dry. Paint the 10" spoon and the basket yellow and allow that to dry as well. Once the basket is dry, use a sponge dabber and white paint to make polka dots on the basket. Set aside to dry.
Cut out ears & beak
Draw bunny and lamb ears and a chick's beak shape onto the felt. Cut out the shapes.
Add eyes & cheeks
Use your sponge dabber and pink inkpad to rub onto back sides of spoons for cheeks. Glue your eyes on the spoons.
Glue on beak
Fold your orange beak in half and glue top edges to the spoon. If desired, glue a portion of a yellow feather to the back of the chick's head.
Glue 2 white poms and a pink pom nose onto the buny. Glue the pink felt inner ears onto the white felt. Pinch and glue the bottom portion of the ears together (both bunny and lamb ears). Glue both sets of ears to the back of the top of each spoon (refer to image).
Add hair & face to lamb
Cut a 7" section of the jumbo chenille. Bend to form 3 loops and glue to the top of the lamb spoon. Draw a line down from the nose and a smaller line across the bottom for the mouth.
Embellish & insert into basket
Embellish the spoons with bows and Foamie flowers. Cut floral foam and insert into basket; add paper shred or Easter grass on top and then insert spoons into the foam. Tie a ribbon around the rim of the basket.
