How to Make a Yarn Wrapped Easter Egg
Instead of fussing with hard boiled eggs and dyes, try making this vibrant yarn wrapped wooden egg that you can keep as a springtime decoration for Easters to come. Make a dozen using all of your favorite brightly colored yarn and felt!
Cut flower parts
Cut out flower parts from sheets of felt. Be sure to cut enough flowers to cover each egg that you are making.
Glue the flower pieces together.
Start gluing yarn
Start gluing yarn from the top of the Easter egg.
Continue wrapping the yarn around the egg in a coil. Go slowly, pushing yarn up to prevent any gaps.
Don't glue bottom of egg
Don't glue yarn to the base of the egg so it will stand steady on a surface.
Glue the felt flowers to the egg.
