How to Make Candy Corn Turkey Treat Favors
This Thanksgiving dinner, add a sweet treat to every place setting when you make these tasty Candy Corn Turkey Treat Favors. Fill them with your favorite fall candies and put one next to each place card before you sit down for dinner, just don't let them spoil your supper!
Secure candy in tulle
Place the candy in the center of the tulle circles. Pull the tulle up around the candy and secure it with a mini rubber band. The tulle fringe in the back will become your turkey's feathers.
Form turkey's head
To form the turkey's head, cut a brown pipe cleaner to 6". Coil an end of the pipe cleaner, leaving 2" straight at the other end.
Attach beak & wattle
Cut a 1" piece of orange pipe cleaner and wrap it around the outer coil as the beak, then cut a 1" piece of red pipe cleaner and wrap it around the bottom of the outer coil as the wattle.
Glue on eyes & secure head
Glue google eyes on each side of the head, then stick the pipe cleaner head into the tulle.
Form & attach feet
Cut a yellow pipe cleaner to 8" and fold an end into 3 toes to form a foot. Attach both feet to the tulle.
Mark off stripes
Use a pencil to draw the candy corn stripes on the pot. For more precise lines, use painter's tape to create the stripes.
Using your foam brush, begin painting the white stripe at the top of your pot. Continue down the pot painting the orange and yellow stripes. Let dry completely. If necessary, add a second coat of paint for each layer.
Paint Mod Podge
Spread a coat of Mod Podge over the entire outside of the pot to seal in the paint and prevent chipping and fading.
