How to Make Halloween Signs

Dress up your Halloween Decor with these festive and fun Halloween Signs! Grab a few supplies from your local Pat Catan's and turn your yard into a spooky village just in time for Halloween.
  • 1 Eek Sign: Spray with sealer

    Spray the sign and all the wood pieces with the clear sealer. Let dry. 

  • 2 Paint objects

    Paint the sign orange, the letters green, the post and the cat black. Let dry completely. 

  • 3 Ink edges black

    Sand the edges of the letters, the cat and the sign. Ink the edges of the sign and the letters with a dauber dipped in black paint. 

  • 4 Glue eyes

    Referring to the photo, glue the eyes onto the cat and the letter E's. 

  • 5 Glue letters

    Arrange the letters and cat onto the sign. Glue the wooden spools to the backs of the middle E and the cat using wood spools to make them stick out. Glue all of the pieces to the sign. 

  • 6 Add sealer

    Spray the sign again with the clear sealer. Let dry. 

  • 7 Spooky sign: Add sealer

    Spray the sign and all the wood pieces with the clear sealer. Let dry. 

  • 8 Paint objects

    Paint the sign orange, letters white, bats purple, the post and the trim of the bats black. Let dry completely. 

  • 9 Sand & ink objects

    Sand the edges of the letters and the bats. Use a dauber, ink the edges of the spooky letters with black paint and the sign with purple paint. 

  • 10 Glue eyes

    Referring to the photo, glue the wiggle eyes onto the bats and the letters OO's. 

  • 11 Glue pieces to sign

    Arrange spooky and the bats onto the sign. Bump out the bats using wood spools glued to their backs. Glue all of the pieces to the sign. 

  • 12 Add sealer

    Spray the sign again with clear sealer. Let dry.
