How to Make a Spider Witch Hat Decoration

This Spider Witch Hat Decoration will have your friends and family wondering if a glitzy witch left you her hat to use as a Halloween decoration! These hats are the perfect combination of sparkly and spooky, plus they come complete with the cutest bug eyed spiders.

  • 1 Paint cones

Paint cones with green and purple acrylic paint. Let dry completely.

  • 2 Add glitter & garland

Mod Podge the cones and sprinkle with glitter in small sections until the entire cone is covered. Let dry completely. Trim the bottoms of the cones with tinsel garland.

  • 3 Glue chenille stem coils

Cut chenille stems into 2" sections and form into flat coils. Randomly glue them onto the cones.

  • 4 Make spiders

Glue 2 different sized tinsel poms together to make the spider body. Glue on wiggle eyes.

  • 5 Make spider legs

To make the spider legs cut 3, 3" sections of chenille stems. Twist together in the middle and glue onto the bottom of the larger poms. Curl the ends of the stems with round nose plilers for the feet.

  • 6 Glue on spiders

Glue 2 to 3 spiders on each cone.
