6mm. Black Chenille Stems

How to Make a Lovely Lady Bug

Isn't she lovely? This Lovely Lady Bug is an adorably simple springtime craft with its easy to create body out of felt and chenille stems!
 
  • 1 Create body & spots

    Trace lady bug pattern and cut out 1 black felt body and 6 black felt spots.

  • 2 Create wings

    Trace wings from the template above and cut out one pair of red wings.

  • 3 Add wings & spots onto body

    Glue wings onto the body and then glue the spots onto the wings.

  • 4 Add eyes

    Glue eyes onto the face.

  • 5 Add legs

    Center and glue three 6" long black chenille stems across the underside of the body for the legs. Let dry.

  • 6 Add final touches

    Bend each of the legs down at a right angle from the edge of the body so that the lady bug will stand on the ends of its legs.
