How to Make a Ribbon & Mesh Umbrella Wreath
April showers bring deco mesh wreaths full of spring flowers! This easy mesh wreath project combines bright spring ribbon, vibrant blooms, your favorite spring home decor accent and plenty of floral mesh. See how easy it is to make one for your front door.
Attach mesh to inner wire
Gather the beginning of the mesh roll and attach it to the inner part of the wire wreath form using a chenille stem. Make sure you twist the chenille around the mesh 3 to 4 times to hold it in place.
Attach mesh to outer wire
Gather the mesh about 15" from the beginning. Gather and attach the mesh to the outer part of the wreath form using a chenille stem.
Continue attaching mesh
Continue attaching the mesh to the wreath form, working in a zig zag manner around the wreath twice. The mesh may overlap on the second time around.
Finish & cut remaining mesh
Finish on the inner part of the wreath and cut any remaining mesh left on the roll from the wreath.
Cut & attach ribbon
Cut ribbon into 12" to 14" pieces. Gather the ribbon in the centers and attach them into the wreath using chenille stems.
Attach chenille stems to the back of your home decor embellishment and wire it into the center of the wreath form.
Glue in flowers
Randomly glue flower heads throughout the wreath.
