4" Clay Saucer
4" Clay Pot
1 1/2" Wood Ball Knob
4 1 1/4 Wood Ball Knobs
Yellow Americana Multi Surface Paint
Black Americana Multi Surface Paint
Red or Pink Americana Multi Surface Paint
Flat Marbles
Wiggle Eyes
Small Pom Pom
26 Gauge Craft Wire
Hot Glue
Foam Brushes
Styrofoam Plates

How to Make a Bumblebee Clay Pot Planter

This bumblebee is just the decoration you need to buzz into your garden this summer! Plant your favorite bright flowersin the pot, and then keep it outside, or use it to brighten up a room in your home.
  • 1 Glue knobs

    Hot glue the ball knob onto the saucer for the head. Glue 4 small wood knobs onto the bottom for feet.

  • 2 Paint a black basecoat

    Paint a black basecoat on the saucer, pot, ball knob and 4 small wood knobs.

  • 3 Sponge stripes

    Paint or sponge yellow stripes on the clay saucer and pot. Let dry completely.

  • 4 Blush cheeks

    Blush cheeks with red or pink paint.

  • 5 Add eyes

    Glue on wiggle eyes.

  • 6 Add nose

    Glue a small green pom pom for a nose.

  • 7 Add antennae

    Bend a section of wire to create antennae. Attach them to head with a mini Glue Dot or by drilling 2 holes into the head. Use a small amount of glue and push the wire ends into the holes.
