How to Make Clay Pot Wind Chimes

Let your little ones help you decorate your home for summer! These Clay Pot Wind Chimes are perfect for kids - they'll love painting them and adding stickers also as much as they'll love seeing them on display.
  • 1 Paint pots

Paint outside of pots using assorted Americana Multi Surface Paint colors. Let dry completely.

  • 2 Cut macrame cord

Cut a 32" length of macrame cording.

  • 3 Decorate & seal

Apply stickers to the pots and seal with Mod Podge. Let dry completely.

  • 4 Construct chime

Slide bell onto wire, then fold wire in half. Slide on 2 small beads and twist the ends of the wire.

  • 5 Thread & fold cord

Thread cord through wire, just like threading a needle. Fold cord in half with the bell and beads hanging from the end.

  • 6 Slide pots on cord

Slide the small pot onto the cord by bringing the cord up through the pot. Add 4 medium beads, the medium pot, 4 medium beads, the large pot and a medium bead.

  • 7 Tie a loop

Lift up the chimes and tie an overhand knot to form a loop.
