How to Make Ice Cream Cone Garland

This is one sweet treat that won't melt in the summer heat! This adorable ice cream garland is the perfect addition to a summer birthday party, cookout or even everyday decor.
  • 1 Fold tissue paper

Fold a single piece of tissue paper into quarters.

  • 2 Wrap ball with tissue

Place a foam ball in the center of the folded tissue. Gather the tissue around the ball.

  • 3 Secure to foam ball

Hot glue the gathered area of tissue to the bottom of the foam ball to secure.

  • 4 Flatten tissue

Flatten out the loose edges of tissue.

  • 5 Glue to cone

Hot glue the rim of the cone and press the tissue covered ball into it. Leave the loose, flattened edges of tissue sticking out.

  • 6 Trim tissue

Trim the tissue edges down to about 1/2" and gently fan the layers apart.

  • 7 Add a cherry

Hot glue a red pom on top for the cherry.

  • 8 Thread the garland

Thread the longer tapestry needle with Baker's twine. Insert the needle through the foam ball, just above the frilled edges. Be sure that the needle exits the ball on the opposite side.

  • 9 Repeat

Repeat the process until the desired length of garland is full.
