Water down your dark brown paint and stain both paddles. Allow to dry.
Paint bottoms & handles
Mask off 3.75" from the bottom of the 24" paddle and 1.75" from the top of the handle. Paint these areas cobalt blue and let dry.
Stencil numbers & sand edges
Stencil numbers onto the center of the paddle with a sponge dauber and white paint. Sand along edges and front of the paddle.
Glue and wrap jute around the handle 10-11 times.
Mask the handle on the 30" paddle 10" from the end. Mask 2 stripes below on the paddle. Paint the paddle area cobalt blue and allow to dry.
Mask & paint in between stripes
Remove the tape and mask areas above, below and in-between stripes and paint white. Allow to dry.
Sand back edges & wrap jute
Sand back edges and front of the paddle. Wrap jute 12-13 times around the handle above the painted area and hot glue in place.
Finish painting anchor & sand
Paint anchor cobalt blue and let dry. Dry brush light gray over the anchor and allow that to dry as well. Sand the edges and the surface with sanding block. Arrange and glue anchor to the paddle.
