How to Make a Rustic Patriotic Wreath

This wreath is a subtle way to show your American spirit! You won't believe how easy it is to make this wreath, plus the red, white and blue pip berries, accented with jute ribbon match any primitive decor.
  • 1 Cut wire Cut wire

Cut 5, 6" pieces of rusted wire using wire cutters. Keep wire on-hand in case additional wire is needed.

  • 2 Attach garland to wreath Attach garland to wreath

Lay grapevine wreath on workspace and begin to form your garland into a 12" circle, similar to that of your grapevine wreath. Attach garland wreath to grapevine wreath using wire cut in Step 1.

  • 3 Attach stars Attach stars

Attached rusted tin stars to your primitive wreath using a glue gun. Brushing a small amount of white acrylic paint onto the rusted tine stars made them a little more visible; however, this is optional.

  • 4 Make a jute bow Make a jute bow

Make appropriate sized bow using jute or burlap ribbon. Wrapping twine at the center of bow makes it look less bulky.

  • 5 Attach bow Attach bow

Attach jute or burlap bow to wreath with wire.
