How to Make Surprise Inside Graduation Cupcakes

Celebrate graduation with cupcakes in school colors, topped with iced cookies! Just tint some of the cake batter and use the Two-Tone Cupcake Pan Set to make two-color cupcakes. The Color Flow iced cookies can be decorated with the graduation year, the graduate's name or simply iced in school colors.
  • 1 Make cookies

    Prepare cookie dough and roll out following recipe directions. Use shooting star cutter from set to cut shapes. Use knife to cut off tail of star. Bake cookies and allow to cool completely.

  • 2 Decorate cookies in advance

    Prepare Color Flow icing according to recipe directions. Tint portions red and yellow. Thin portions red. Use tip 3, cut disposable decorating bag and full-strength red icing to outline stars.

  • 3 Make cupcakes

    Prepare batter following recipe directions. Tint a portion of batter red. Use insert from two-tone cupcake pan set and batters to make two-tone cupcakes according to package instructions. Bake cupcakes and allow to cool completely.

  • 4 Decorate cupcakes

    Use tip 1M, cut disposable decorating bag and white decorator icing to pipe a swirl on top of cupcakes. Position cookies.
