How to Make a Turkey Door Hanger

Looking for a festive decor piece this Thanksgiving season? A Turkey Door Hanger is a simple DIY for any space in your home!
 
  • 1 Paint turkey

    Give the turkey a basecoat with the chalk paint, while the paint is still wet dry brush with orange paint. Let dry.

  • 2 Ink edges

    Use a sponge dauber to ink the edges of the turkey with the brown ink.

  • 3 Trace & add leaves

    Trace the leaves onot the plaid paper and cut out. Attach the paper to the leaves with Tombow glue or a tape runner. Use the sponge dauber to ink the edges with the brown ink.

  • 4 Arrange leaves

    Referring to the photo, arrange and glue the leaves onto the turkey.

  • 5 Add jute

    Cut an 18" section of jute, fold it in half and tie it around the stem of a leaf. Cut the loop to create four strands. String each end with the beads. Knot the ends and trim.
