How to Make Conversation Heart Rings & Magnets


Everyone loves conversation heart candies! Now you can enjoy them all year round, with these adorable rings and magnets. They're perfect to wear, to display or even to send a message to that someone special.
 
  • 1 Form hearts Conversation Heart Rings & Magnets

    Take a small piece of modeling clay and roll it into a ball. Use your fingers to shape the clay into a heart shape. Use the wood skewer stick to form the top middle of the heart.

  • 2 Stamp sentiments Conversation Heart Rings & Magnets

    Decide which sentiment you want on your hearts, and use the small ABC stamps to stamp it into your hearts.

  • 3 Let clay dry Conversation Heart Rings & Magnets

    Let the clay dry thoroughly and harden by leaving it out. This may take up to 2 days. Do not dry clay in the oven.

  • 4 Paint hearts Conversation Heart Rings & Magnets

    Once the hearts are hardened, paint each using conversation heart colors, then let dry.

  • 5 Paint indented letters Conversation Heart Rings & Magnets

    Once dry, add a few drops of water to a small amount of red craft paint and mix. Use a tiny paint brush or your wood skewer to carefully paint the indented letters on each heart, making them look like real conversation hearts. Let dry completely.

  • 6 Glue on ring backs & magnets Conversation Heart Rings & Magnets

    Use a small amount of E-6000 glue to adhere the hearts to each ring blank or small magnet. Let dry for 24 hours.
