How to Make a Hugs and Kisses Wreath

Spread the Valentines Day Cheer this year by adorning your front door with a Hugs and Kisses Wreath! With the help of deco mesh, a touch of pink and a whole lot of love, you will have your own Hugs and Kisses Wreath!
  • 1 Gather & attach mesh

Gather the end of the mesh and attach it to the inner wire on the wreath form using a chenille stem.

  • 2 Gather & attach mesh

Gather the end of the mesh and attach it to the inner wire on the wreath form using a chenille stem.

  • 3 Work mesh around wreath

Measure out approximately 13" from where it’s attached, gather the mesh and attach it to the outer wire on the wreath form with a chenille stem. Continue in a zigzag pattern, working around the wreath form, ending back in the center. Cut off the excess mesh.

  • 4 Paint hearts

Paint four of the wooden hearts pink and six of the wooden hearts metallic gold. Let dry.

  • 5 Add tape

Apply Hercules® tape to the front of the MDF letters.

  • 6 Add & trim paper

Place the paper face down on a cutting surface and place the MDF letters taped side down onto the back of the paper and trim off the excess paper using the X-Acto® Knife.

  • 7 Cut & glue craft sticks

Cut the craft sticks to 2" pieces, lay the letters face down and connect them together by hot gluing the craft stick pieces from letter to letter.

  • 8 Glue chenille stems

Hot glue at the middle of a chenille stem to the back of each of the "X"s.

  • 9 Secure MDF letters

Secure the "X"s and "O"s to the wreath by working the chenille stems through the mesh and securing on the back of the wreath

  • 10 Glue hearts

Hot glue the painted hearts randomly around the sign on the front of the wreath, allowing the hot glue to cool for a few seconds before attaching them to the wreath.
