How to Make a Paper Cactus Planter
Don't have a green thumb? Don't worry! Anyone can create a Paper Cactus Planter. Cute cute cactus shaped plants out of craft foam or cardstock, then plant them in a floral foam base inside of your painted terracotta plant. Try cutting different styles of cacti or embellishing them in different designs.

Cut shapes & draw details
Cut cacti shapes from foam or cardstock. Draw dotted or crossed vein and spike details on each shape using a paint pen.

Paint pot
Use painter's tape or washi tape to create a stripe or geometric shape on the terracotta pot. Paint shape with selected acrylic paint color.

Construct cacti
Glue the leaves and arms of the cacti together.

Attach cacti to bases
Add a foam base to the pot and use hot glue to attach the cacti.

Cover foam
Cover top of foam with rocks.
