Craft Knife
Spanish Moss
Hot Glue

Drift Wood
Butterflies or Other Spring Embellishments

How to Make a Spring Woodland Monogram


Nothing says spring like Spanish moss and fluttering butterflies! Create this lush monogram for your own home, or give it to a friend. Either way, it's a spring statement piece in any room.
 
  • 1 Cut front side Spring Woodland Monogram

    Using a craft knife, carefully cut off the front side of the paper mache letter.

  • 2 Remove & discard Spring Woodland Monogram

    Remove and discard the front of the paper mache letter, along with the filler on the inside.

  • 3 Fill with moss Spring Woodland Monogram

    Fill the letter loosely with moss, adding hot glue as you go.

  • 4 Cover the front edge Spring Woodland Monogram

    Cover the front edge of the letter with moss as well, again, securing with hot glue.

  • 5 Trim excess Spring Woodland Monogram

    Trim any excess moss with scissors.

  • 6 Arrange drift wood Spring Woodland Monogram

    Arrange the drift wood pieces inside the letter until you are happy with the positioning. Use hot glue to secure the drift wood pieces into place.

  • 7 Add embellishments Spring Woodland Monogram

    Glue on butterflies or other spring embellishments to complete your woodland monogram.
