Large Wood Tag
2 Medium Wood Tags
3" Alphabet Stencil 
Martha Stewart Nautical Stencils
White Acrylic Paint
Gray Acrylic Paint 
Cobalt Blue Acrylic Paint 
Turquoise Acrylic Paint
Dark Brown Acrylic Paint
Sanding Block 
Paint Brushes
Sponge Dauber

How to Make Distressed Beach Tags

De-stress after a long week with these fun Distressed Beach Tags! Whether they are for your beach house or your kids' beach-themed bedroom, they are the perfect decoration to make you feel like you are sitting seaside.  
  • 1 Stain tags

    Water down the dark brown paint and stain the large wood tag as well as both the medium tags. Allow to dry. 

  • 2 Dry brush with white paint

    Dry brush your large tag with white paint, exposing the brown stain underneath. 

  • 3 Dry brush medium tags

    Dry brush 1 medium tag using turquoise paint and the other with cobalt blue. Allow to dry. 

  • 4 Stencil large tag

    Stencil your large tag with BEACH using gray paint and a sponge dauber. 

  • 5 Stencil medium tags

    Stencil your medium tags with a sailboat and a starfish using white paint. Allow to dry. 

  • 6 Sand back surface

    Sand back the surface of all 3 tags to give them the distressed look.
