How to Make Vintage DIY Globes
These Vintage DIY Globes will bring back memories of sweet snowy scenes from your childhood. Each globe showcases a sparkly, white snowstorm. The best part is that anyone can craft these simple DIY Christmas decorations.
Cut a circle
Cut a 3 ½” circle from the foam core.
Secure tree to foam core
Remove the base from the tree, hot glue the bottom of the tree and push it into the foam core.
Glue the deer to the foam core.
Sprinkle with snow
Coat the foam core with Mod Podge and sprinkle with snow. Let the snowy foam core dry completely.
Tack foam core
Tack the foam core in back of the largest ornament using hot glue. Than hanger tab should be pointing down.
Glue ornament to a candlestick
Snap the large ornament together and use E6000 to glue it to a candlestick, hanger side down.
Attach remaining ornaments to candlesticks
Use E6000 glue to attach the other 2 ornaments to the tops of the remaining candlesticks with the hanger facing down. Let all of the ornaments dry completely.
Mix the 2 glitters together.
Sprinkle with glitter
Coat the 2 smaller globes with Mod Podge and sprinkle with the glitter combination. Let the ornaments dry completely.
Repeat with the larger globe, leaving an opening in the front as a window to see the scene inside. Let the ornament dry completely.
Once dry, add Mod Podge to the glittered globe areas and sprinkle with sequins and re-coat with glitter mix. Let finished globes dry completely.
