How to Make a Chain & Agate Bracelet

The brassy antique bronze chain sets off the rich, brown and amber tones in this bracelet! The bracelet is an ideal project for beginning jewelry crafters. You only need five items to create it, and while crafting you can practice working with jump rings, eye pins and head pins.

  • 1 String & loop eye pin

String an eye pin with an E bead, agate and an E bead. Bend the pin, then trim and loop the end.

  • 2 Attach to center link

Measure and cut 8" of chain. Locate the center link and attach a jump ring and an end of the beaded eye pin. Attach a jump ring and clasp to the end links of the chain.

  • 3 String eye pin

String an eye pin with a bronze E bead, black bead and a bronze E bead. Bend the pin, trim and loop the end. Attach one loop to the loop of the other eye pin. Close loop.

  • 4 Attach jump rings

Attach 2 jump rings to the other loop on the eye pin.

  • 5 String head pin

String a head pin with a bronze E bead, black E bead and a bronze E bead. Bend, trim and loop the end of the pin.

  • 6 Attach to hematite chain

Open the loop on each beaded head pin and attach them to the small hematite circle chain section. Attach another jump ring to each circle and attach to the jump ring attached to the clasp.
