How to Make a Copper Drops & Multicolor Bead Necklace
What could be a better combination than bright colorful beads and shiny copper drops? This necklace is a unique statement piece of jewelry that even a beginning jewelry crafter could make for herself.
Cut wire & attach crimp bead
Cut a 16" strand of jewelry wire. Slide on a crimp bead and a lobster clasp. Loop the wire through the crimp bead and crimp with crimping tool.
String on an aqua rondelle and 2 yellow beads. Repeat this pattern 13 times. Complete the strand with 2 aqua rondelles, 2 yellow beads and an aqua rondelle.
Secure crimp bead
Slide on a crimp bead and the last jump ring on the teardrop chain. Loop the wire back through the crimp bead and the aqua bead. Crimp with the crimping too and trim off excess wire.
String head pins
String 7 copper head pins with a bronze E bead, coral disc and a bronze E bead. Bend the head pin at a 90º angle after the E bead. Use a pair of round nose pliers and wrap the wire around the stem of the pin. Trim off excess wire. Repeat steps with all the pins.
Attach with jump rings
Use a jump ring to attach the pins to each of the 2 jump rings holding the teardrop dangles.
