How to Make Draped Chain Earrings
Do you have a special event coming up? Don't rush out to the mall yet, you can make the perfect elegant earrings to finish off your outfit yourself! These classic earrings are a great introductory project, and you'll be able to wear them again and again.
String a head pin
String a head pin with a seed bead, crystal, rondelle and a crystal. Repeat the pattern 4 more times. Use round nose pliers to loop the end of the pin.
Cut 3 sections of chain 6", 5 3/4" and 5 1/2" long.
Slide onto head pin
Slide the last loop of the 6" chain onto an eye pin, then repeat with the 5 3/4" and the 5 1/2" chains, the beaded pin, the other end of the 5 1/2" chain, 5 3/4" chain and the 6" chain.
Slide onto French wire
Cut a 2" section of chain. Open the loop on a French wire and slide it on the center link of the chain. Close the loop. Open the loop on one end of the eye pin and slide on the last link of the chain. Repeat on the other side.
Repeat for the other earring.
