How to Make a Fringe Tassel Keychain

Always losing your keys? Can't grip your zipper? Make a Fringe Tassel Keychain! These trendy tassel accessories make it easy to key track of your keys and to quickly open a bag or purse. Just make sure to coordinate the color of your tassels with your favorite bag or backpack.
  • 1 Loop floss

Loop 20, 6" strands of floss for each tassel.

  • 2 Slide floss through jump ring

Slide floss through a 10mm jump ring. Bring floss ends together, hold the jump ring and tug on the floss ends to even them up.

  • 3 Tie & wrap another color floss

Cut another color of floss about 12". Tie floss around the section of floss below the jump ring. Wrap about 8 times and knot. Trim excess.

  • 4 Trim bottom

Trim the bottom section of the tassel so the ends are even.

  • 5 Slide on bead

Slide an acrylic bead onto an eye pin along with a round bead. Bend pin close to bead and trim pin leaving 1/4". Bend and loop end with round nose pliers.

  • 6 Attach tassel to eye pin

Twist open an end of the eye pin and attach the jump ring on the tassel. Twist eye pin closed.

  • 7 Attach to key ring

Attach a jump ring to the beaded eye pin an attach to the key ring on the clasp.

  • 8 Repeat

    Repeat steps with several tassels.
