How to Make Knotted Friendship Bracelets

It's "knot" hard to make these fun friendship bracelets! Gather your girlfriends so you can trade charms, beads and colorful rattail while you construct these simple bracelets. Don't forget to make a matching set to wear with your bestie!
  • 1 Fold & knot rattail

For a double wrap bracelet, cut a 56" section of aqua rattail. Fold it in half and knot it at the folded end, leaving a small loop at the end.

  • 2 Add beads & knot

Slide on a bead and knot the cords about 1" away from the bead. Leave 1" space and knot again. Slide on a bead. Make 4 more knots spaced out about 1" apart. Add a bead, and knot the cords 1" away. Leave 1" space, knot, slide on a bead, leave a space and triple knot the cords.

  • 3 Attach charm

Attach a charm to the cord using a jump ring.

  • 4 Fold & knot rattail

For a single bracelet, cut a 16" section of aqua rattail. Fold it in half and knot at the folded end, leaving a small loop at the end.

  • 5 Add beads & knot

Slide on a charm and knot the cords about 1" away from the bead. Add a charm, leave 1" space and knot again. Leave 1" space, knot, add a charm, leave a space and triple knot the cords.

  • 6 Trim

    Trim the cord ends.
