How to Make Large Drop Crystal Earrings
These dramatic drop earrings have just the right amount of sparkle and shine! Between the large crystal, aurora borealis beads and bright gold fish wire, these earrings are perfect for a glamorous night out. You'll be shocked at how simple they are to make!
Take the headpins and create loops on the following beads.
- 10 6mm emerald bicones
- 13 3 x 4 purple rondelles
- 20 4mm amethyst bicones
- 14 4 x 6 purple rondelles
- 8 4 x 6 lavender rondelles from the 7" bead strand
Connect the loops on the beads into 3 strands as shown.
A: 4 x 6 lavender rondelles
B: 6mm bicones
C: 3 x 4 rondelles
D: 4mm bicones
E: 4 x 6 purple rondelles
String strands through loops
Take 22 gauge wire and cut about a 4" to 5" section, place through the tear shaped crystal and fold in half. String strand 1 onto folded wire going through the loop on the E bead that is in the center, then do the same for strand 2, using the center E bead loop and finally strand 3 using the center C bead loop.
Place the large rondelle from the 7" glass bead strand onto the wire and wrap the top to form a loop. Then attach earring wires.
Repeat steps for other earring.
