How to Make a Mix & Mingle™ Square Knot Bracelet
Weave your favorite Mix and Mingle™ beads into this Square Knot Bracelet! Pick your favorite colored beads and rhinestone spacers, and then secure them in a boho chic knotted bracelet that you can wear for any occasion.
Cut & fold cord
Set aside the blue bead to use as part of the clasp. Cut an 84" and a 36" length of cord and fold both in half. Tie an overhand knot near the fold, creating a double-strand loop that is large enough to fit over the bead.
Begin the square knot
The longer cords should sit on the outside and will be used to make the knot, and the shorter cords will sit on the inside and will be used as the base. Hold the base cords between your thumb and forefingers as you work.
Cross the left cord over the center cords leaving a large loop, this will look like a number 4. Grip the joint of the cords between your thumb and forefinger, holding the center cords taught at all times.
Pull cord through
Take the right cord and cross it over the left cord, then under the joint of the left and center cords. Pull the right cord through the loop made in Step 4.
Finish first knot
Grab the right cord that was pulled to the left with your left hand, and the left cord that was pulled to the right with your right hand. Hold the center cord taut, and pull the left and right cords away from the center. Pull tight to create the first knot.
Make second knot
To make the second knot, repeat Steps 4 through 7 backwards. Take the right cord and cross it over the center cord. Take the left cord and cross it over the right cord, under the joint of the right and center cord, and through the loop made with the right cord. Hold the center cord and pull tight.
Continue the square knot
Repeat Steps 2 through 7 to continue the square knot for 1 1/2".
