How to Make an ICE Resin® Heart Necklace

What's more romantic than hearts and glitter? This easy to make heart necklace is a sparkly and sweet accessory for every outfit, plus the finished product looks so polished that your friends won't believe you made it all by yourself!

  • 1 Seal your paper Seal your paper

Cut the left lobe of the heart out of one of the papers and tear the inside edge. Seal both sides and the edges of the image with paper sealer. Set aside and allow paper to dry completely, or quickly dry the paper with a craft heat gun.

  • 2 Add glass glitter Add glass glitter

Add glass glitter to the right lobe of the heart. Top with a bit of Shattered Opal.

  • 3 Mix the ICE Resin® Mix the ICE resin

Twist the cap off of the ICE Resin® plunger. Apply equal pressure with both thumbs on the plunger so the resin and hardener come out equally in the craft cup. Use a craft stick to mix gently for 2 minutes. Make sure to scrape the sides and the bottom of the cup. Set aside for 5 minutes to let the bubbles dissipate.

  • 4 Drip the resin Drip the resin

Use your craft stick to carefully drip the mixed ICE Resin® into the bezel. Begin dripping close to the edge and at the point of the heart and work your way towards the center.

  • 5 Add the charm Add the charm

Carefully add in the charm. If a small bubble of air is caused by the charm, you can use a toothpick to pop the bubble or adjust the placement of the charm. Drip in just enough resin to create a natural dome. Allow 8 to 12 hours to dry.

  • 6 Cut the ribbon ICE Resin® Heart Necklace

Cut 20 inch lengths of raspberry and chocolate organza ribbon. Cut one in half and one at about one-third for contrast, then tear.

  • 7 Knot the ribbon Knot the ribbon

Place the ribbons side by side and knot at each end. Thread a jump ring through the knots and attach at either side of a lobster clasp.

  • 8 Attach a lobster clasp

Place the ribbons side by side and knot at each end. Thread a jump ring through the knots and attach at either side of a lobster clasp.

  • 9 Attach the bezel Attach the bezel

Find the center of the ribbon and attach another jump ring. Attach the bezel to the necklace with a jump ring.
