How to Make a Rose Gold Wire Wrapped Necklace
Add some soft feminine flair to your outfit with a handmade Rose Gold Wire Wrapped Necklace! Rose gold is trending now, so it's the perfect time to test your jewelry making skills and try your hand at this more advanced project.
Cut the necklace chain in half.
Practice writing the way you want your script to look, or find an example offline. This will be used as a guide for bending the wire.
Cut 15" of wire. Bend the wire using round nose pliers, long nose pliers and flat nose pliers to get the desired curves and angles in the word. Use the skinny part of the round nose pliers to make the top of the "L", do the same for the bottom part of the "L". Wrap the wire around the fat part of the round nose pliers to make the "O", make a kink for the beginning of the "V", and use the skinny and fat part of the pliers to create the "E".
Make a loop
Curve the wire so it sits at the same level as the top of the "L". Use the round nose pliers to make a loop on the wire.
Connect with jump rings
Connect the loop on the "L" and "E" to the ends of the fiagro chain with jump rings. Keep in mind, it may take several tries to shape the letters just the way you want them. This is a great project to practice your wire wrapping technique - go with the flow and it will look great!
