How to Make Shoelace Bracelets

Make, share and trade these colorful shoelace bracelets! All you need is one shoelace to make each bracelet. Try choosing solid colors, or mix it up with fun patterned laces.
  • 1 Make a loop

Take the end of the shoelace and cross over the strand to make a small loop. Leave about 1" from the end.

  • 2 Knot loops

Hold the lace below the loop with one hand and make another small loop below with the other hand. Then, insert the loop through the first loop.

  • 3 Tug on lace

Tug on the end of the lace and the top loop.

  • 4 Repeat

Continue to repeat Steps 2 and 3 until the bracelet is long enough.

  • 5 Trim & pinch

Trim off the ends leaving about 1/2". Pinch the end and place it into an endcap. Use flat nose pliers to fold over and flatten the endcap. Repeat with the other side.

  • 6 Add jump ring

Twist open a jump ring and attach a clasp to an endcap. Twist the jump ring closed. Add a jump ring to the other endcap.
