How to Make a White Feather Flower Headband

Rhinestones, and feathers and ribbon, oh my! This White Feather Flower Headband has everything a girly girl needs in an accessory, and even a beginning crafter can hand make one. Check out our instructions, and get ready to turn a plain ribbon headband into a sparkly glamorous one.
  • 1 Cut narrow ribbon

    Cut the narrowest ribbon into 3, 8" pieces.

  • 2 Form figure 8s

    With each piece, bring the ends to the middle to form a figure 8 and glue in place.

  • 3 Stack figure 8s

    Stack each figure 8 in a crisscross pattern, gluing each in place.

  • 4 Cut medium ribbon

    Cut the medium ribbon into 3, 11" long pieces.

  • 5 Repeat

    Repeat Steps 2 and 3.

  • 6 Cut wired ribbon

    Cut 1 yd. piece of 2 1/2" wired ribbon.

  • 7 Twist wires together

    Twist the wires together on 1 end.

  • 8 Pull wire & gather ribbon

    At the other end, pull 1 wire to gather the ribbon, forming a circle.

  • 9 Twist wires

    Twist wires together.

  • 10 Stack & glue layers

    Stack the narrowest layers on top, then the medium layers and then the 2 1/2" ribbon, gluing each layer in place.

  • 11 Glue stacked ribbons

    Glue the stacked ribbons to the headband.

  • 12 Glue ornament

    Glue decorative ornament in the center.

  • 13 Tuck in feathers

    Tuck feathers between the layers, gluing in place.
