How to Make a Celebrate Space Rocket

It's time for lift off! Celebrate space and create your own launching rocket. Choose colorful construction paper, attach string and a balloon and then release to watch it fly from one galaxy to the other! This craft is easy to make and kids will be having fun celebrating space in no time.
  • 1 Cutout the rocket

    Use scissors to cut the fin, rocket nose and flames out of construction paper.

  • 2 Create the rocket

    Attach shapes to the rocket Colored Paper Roll with double-sided tape.

  • 3 Cut & attach straw

    Cut the straw into a 3" length and attach to the top of the rocket with tape.

  • 4 Thread & tie string

    Thread the straw onto the string. Tie the string to two sturdy objects.

  • 5 Blow up & prepare balloon

    Blow up the balloon and pinch (but don't tie) the end. Tape it to the bottom of the rocket.

  • 6 Time for lift off!

    Release and watch it fly!
