How to Make a Flying Rocket Ship
Blast off into the world of crafting fun! If you're looking for a fun craft to entertain your space-loving kids with, the Flying Rocket Ship is for you!
Paint your cone and set it aside to let dry.
Cut a piece of your glitter Core'dinations paper to fit around the tube and attach using your Hercules tape.
Attach rocket wings
Cut two 3" x 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" triangles from the Foamie sheets. Cut these triangles in half to make 4 right triangles. Use your Hercules tape to stick both sets back to back, and glue the triangle-shaped fins on opposite sides of the rocket.
Attach cone to body
Glue the inside rim of the cone to one end of the rocket body.
Add rocket flames
Stick a strip of Hercules tape along the bottom inside rim of the rocket. Attach pieces of red and gold shred along the rim.
Embellish with glitter tape
Embellish the rocket as you'd like using rhinestones and glitter tape.
Cut a 2" piece of straw and glue it along the edge of one of the fins and the body. Cut about a 5' piece of Rexlace and insert through straw. Hold both ends and tilt up and down to let your rocket fly!
