How to Make your own Gone Fishin' craft

Let's go fishin'! Craft your own tropical fish out of felt and a pole from a dowel rod. Don't worry, this little guy won't get away with the included Velcro® bait. Once complete, you'll be ready to relax, craft and catch in no time!
 
  • 1 Create the fish's body

    Attach felt to the craft tube using the glue stick. Trim off extra felt.

  • 2 Create the fish's tail

    Trace the tail template onto a piece of felt and cut it out.

  • 3 Flatten

    Flatten one end of the craft tube.

  • 4 Attach the tail

    Glue Dot® the tail inside the flattened end.

  • 5 Create the fish's fins

    Trace the fins from the template onto a piece of felt and Glue Dot® them onto the body.

  • 6 Create the fish's lips

    Cut a thin strip of felt and glue to the open end of the tube for lips.

  • 7 Attach the fish's eyes

    Glue Dot® buttons onto the fish for eyes.

  • 8 Attach the bait

    Cover the inside of the open end of the fish with the hoop side of Velcro®.

  • 9 Attach bait to the pole

    Wrap the other side of the Velcro® around the spool.

  • 10 Thread & knot

    Thread a piece of macrame cord through the spool and knot it.

  • 11 Tie to dowel rod

    Tie the opposite end of the cord to the dowel rod.

  • 12 It's time!
