How to Make a Bumblebee Wood Frame

Combine watercolor effects and bright gold foil to create this trendy wood frame. Spend a weekend creating your fame and then slide your favorite photo inside, or pick out a printable with a matching golden quote.

  • 1 Spread modeling paste

Position the stencil onto the frame and spread a small amount of modeling paste over the stencil. Set aside to dry completely for several hours.

  • 2 Paint frame

Paint the frame. Work wet into wet and allow the colors to blend on the frame. Set the frame aside to dry completely.

  • 3 Apply Tombow glue

Apply Tombow glue to the stenciled areas and let the glue set up.

  • 4 Apply foil to stenciled areas

Place gold foil over the stenciled areas and use a craft stick to rub the foil.

  • 5 Die cut

    Die cut 2 bees.

  • 6 Sand, stack & glue bees

Sand bee die cuts and ink them. Stack the bees using foam dots. Curl the wings slightly. Glue the finished bee onto the frame.
