How to Make an Embossed Cupcake Birthday Card

You can't celebrate a birthday without cake! Give the birthday boy or girl a special cupcake that they can keep when you make this adorable Embossed Cupcake Birthday Card. Don't forget to add a little bit of glitter glue as a finishing touch, then you're ready to blow out the candle and celebrate!
  • 1 Emboss & die cut

    Emboss and die cut pieces of cardstock for the cupcake cutting apart the cupcake to get a different color icing for the liner.

  • 2 Highlight embossing

    Using coordinating inks, highlight the embossing in the icing and liner.

  • 3 Glue icing & candle

    Glue the icing to the liner. Place a slit in the icing and slide and the candle in place. Secure the candle with glue.

  • 4 Cut cardstock

    Cut mint green cardstock to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". navy cardstock to 4 3/8" x 5 5/8" and the card to 5 x 6 1/8".

  • 5 Layer cardstock & glue cupcake

    Layer cut papers, adhereing together with double-sided tape. Glue the cupcake on top.

  • 6 Embellish with glitter glue

    Embellish cupcake with glitter glue and let dry completely.
