How to Make Framed Butterfly Art

Whimsical butterflies and a touch of gold sparkle make this Framed Butterfly Art an enchanting wall decoration for a feminine space. Customize yours by using sheet music or patterned tissue paper as your background, and then pick your favorite colors of cardstock butterflies.
  • 1 Cut foam core

    Cut foam core to fit the frame.

  • 2 Mod Podge tissue paper

    Mod Podge tissue paper to the foam core and let dey completely.

  • 3 Apply ink

    Apply ink to the board.

  • 4 Apply gold leafing

    Randomly apply gold leafing.

  • 5 Insert foam & secure

    Insert the foam core into the frame and secure.

  • 6 Die cut & emboss butterflies

    Die cut and emboss several butterflies using Core'dinations paper.

  • 7 Embellish butterflies

    Ink over the butterflies to enhance the embossed patterns. Randomly embellish with pearls.

  • 8 Arrange & attach butterflies

    Arrange and attach butterflies inside the frame.
