How to Make a Lorelei Fringed Super Scarf

A Lorelei Fringed Super Scarf is a great accessory with any outfit! Perfect for the colder weather. Best part is, it is easy to create even for a beginner crocheter!

Measurements: 14 x 108 in. (35.5 x 274.5 cm), not including fringe

Gauge: 7 sts = about 4 in. (10 cm); 6 rows = about 6 1/2 in. (16.5 cm). Note: Each dc and ch-1 count as 1 st.

    Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), turn, sk first ch-1 sp, dc in next dc, (ch 1, sk next ch-1 sp, dc in next dc) twice, dc in next 6 dc, (ch 1, sk next ch-1 sp, dc in next dc) 3 times, dc in next 5 dc, dc in top of beg ch.

    For each fringe, cut 2 strands about 15 1/2 in. (39.5 cm) long. Hold 2 strands of yarn together and fold in half. Use crochet hook to draw fold through one short edge of Scarf, forming a loop. Pull ends of strands through this loop. Pull to tighten. Following diagram, make 11 fringes along each end of Scarf. 

  • 13 Fringe on body of scarf

    For each fringe, cut 2 strands about 13 1/2 in. (34.5 cm) long. Hold 2 strands of yarn together and fold in half. Following diagram for placement, use crochet hook to draw fold around a dc, forming a loop. Pull ends of strands through this loop. Pull to tighten. Attach all the fringe as shown in the diagram or make the Scarf your own by attaching more or less fringe.
