How to Make a No Knit, No Crochet Scarf
Do you love the look of knit and crochet scarves, but can't tell the difference between a slip stitch and a back loop? You can still keep warm all winter long with a scarf made out of soft, bulky yarn - even with no knitting or crocheting experience! Try using a combination of thin and bulky yarns to make this scarf for yourself.
Cut yarn strands
Cut about 25 to 30 strands of yarn to be approximately 120" long. The amount of strands of yarn used will depend on the desired thickness of the scarf and the thickness of your selected yarn. The length can also be adjusted for a longer or shorter scarf.
Lay all of the strands together and knot them in the center.
Continue tying knots
Measure out 8" from either side of the center knot and tie another knot. Repeat tying knots out towards the ends of the scarf, leaving approximately 8" of space between each knot.
When you reach the end of the scarf trim the ends of each strand. Be sure to vary the lengths of the strands for a better look.
